Are you bonded and Insured?

Yes. We are bonded and insured.  We can provide proof of this upon request.

Who will be cleaning my house?

A regularly assigned team or individual trained by 1st Class Maid Services training program will clean your home. All employees are background checked, drug screened for security purpose, also insured and bonded. Our Cleaning Professionals will not eat, drink, smoke or use any appliances while inside your home.

How much will it cost to clean my house?

Getting your house cleaned is surprisingly affordable. Every house is unique, and every cleaning fee is individually based. Things that will affect the amount of your house cleaning estimate include the size of your home, number of residents, number of pets, number of bathrooms, how often you want us to clean, etc. Often the first clean will cost more as we do a deep clean to get the house in shape for the regular maintenance cleanings. One time cleans are charged on an hourly basis. You could call to get a quote.

Do I Have To Do Anything Before The Cleaning Team Arrives?

In order for the cleaning team to effectively provide our customers with quality services, we ask that you pick up clothing, toys and other household items. The cleaning team will not know where your personal items belong and we prefer that they not go into your closets or drawers to put things away.

Do I have to be home when 1st Class Maid Services team arrive to clean?

This is your option. You may give us a key to your home which will be safely stored – always with “double-blind” security. Keys have numbered tags on them – no customer name. Only the owner and/or office manager can access the client key safe. Our house cleaners are given the keys for each cleaning appointment before they leave the office each day, and must turn these back in to management before they are allowed to leave the office each evening.  These keys are returned to the key safe until the next cleaning appointment.

Do you guarantee a day and time for my cleaning appointment?

1st Class Maid Services ordinarily guarantees a specific day for your cleaning but not a specific time – a time slot. Due to our flexible and ever-changing schedule, we are unable to commit to a specific time of day for our arrival. However, if you contact us on the day of your service, we will be glad to estimate our time of arrival. If you need a specific time guarantee, feel free to discuss this with our office. Within reason, we will do our best to reach a mutually agreeable solution.

Do I need to provide house cleaning equipment or supplies?

We provide all equipment and supplies, so you never need to worry about replenishing your supply for our house cleaners. Our chemicals and vacuums have been field tested and our employees are trained to use them so we know they will work on all jobs. If you have special cleaning products you want our cleaning team to use, please be sure to discuss this with our office in advance, so that we can properly instruct the team.

What if I forget you are coming?

We need good communication between you and the cleaning team and/or the office. We will call or email 48 hours before your scheduled clean to remind you we are coming. This will allow you time to pick up clutter before your cleaning, so the house cleaner can do the best possible job. If you have special requests please call the office so we may note them on your work order. We would like to know any time the job was done well or if there were any issues. If we are locked out of your house we will discuss a future lock out fee.

What if I need to reschedule a clean?

We make every effort to meet our customer’s scheduling requests. If you need to reschedule an appointment, we will do all we can to accommodate you. Please give us as much notice as possible. Last minute cancellations and schedule changes prevent us from providing service to other customers and end up reducing your cleaning team pays. If you repeatedly request or cancel an appointment, please understand our need to charge a $25 change fee for schedule changes, we request a 24 hour notice prior of the scheduled cleaning. For one time clean, we will charge $50 for schedule changes requested within 48 hours.

What should I do with my pets during the cleaning?

Please advise us if you have pets and provide any information regarding your pets that would be helpful for us to know. Though not a requirement, we prefer pets to be restricted from the areas we clean, to allow us to better clean your home and get to details more efficiently. Also, we must always be concerned for our employee’s safety – so it is best to have your pet restricted. Why should I use your company instead of hiring an individual to clean my home? Many homeowners are not aware of their personal liability regarding work related injury for independent home-service workers. No need to worry, 1st Class Maid Services takes care of all this for you. We provide liability insurance, third party bonding and key insurance. We run criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening on our employees before we hire them.

What is your guarantee?

We at 1ST CLASS MAID SERVICES believe in doing it right the first time. If there is a problem with your cleaning, Please call us within 24 hours and we will cheerfully clean the area in question.

What is mildew and how can I get rid of it?

Mildew is a parasitic fungus. It requires moisture, warmth and a food source to exist. It reproduces itself by growing microscopic spores in enormous quantities. These spores are always present in the air and spread via normal air currents. A spore lies dormant until favorable moisture and temperature conditions occur for it to germinate. Mildew thrives in warm moist areas that have poor air circulation. In the average household, mildew is typically found in the bathrooms. The corners, cracks and crevices of the tub, shower, sink and toilet are the most common areas infected. It ranges in color from a pinkish-orange to black. Unlike some other cleaning services 1st Class Maid Services does use a bleach product so we can kill and clean mildew infected areas. Some areas may be stained and be unable to be cleaned. You can be sure we will have done our best to try!

What Form Of Quality Control Do You Provide?

Every time we clean your home the cleaning team assigned is going to leave you a form called a Scoreboard. We would like for you to make sure that all of the items listed on the form have been done in each room that was cleaned. Please return the Scoreboard to our office so the cleaning team can receive credit for a job well done. Points accumulated on the Scoreboard determine who our "Pay Bonus For The Month" is. You can also submit your Scoreboard online at our web site

Do You Check The Backgrounds Of Your House Cleaners?

Yes we do, in fact we will not even consider the recruitment of a new house cleaner unless they have a minimum of 2 verifiable references and a stable previous work history. House cleaners must be bondable, which means no felony convictions. We also do random drug testing.
